Abstract

this literature review article, the topic of flaps in reconstructive surgery will be addressed in detail, focusing on their definition, indications, complications and management. The epidemiology of flaps and their significance in clinical practice will be explored. The methods used for the implementation of flaps will be discussed, highlighting the importance of preoperative planning and surgical techniques. In addition, the complications associated with flaps will be discussed and a comprehensive discussion on the advantages and challenges of their use in reconstructive surgery will be presented. A conclusion summarising the key aspects of this review will be provided
