Abstract

The article presents the theoretical foundations, empirical experience and practically oriented didactic-methodological basis developed by the authors of the article for the preparation of classes in German as a foreign language using modern German literature in higher education. The research is based on the novel of the contemporary German writer Daniel Kelmann (Ruhm) (2009) and a screen adaptation of this novel by Isabel Kleefeld (2012). The lesson was conducted in classes with students of linguistic study of the Department of German language of the National Technical University of Ukraine “KPI” named after Igor Sikorsky (Kyiv, Ukraine) and with engineering students of the Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan).
