LITERATURA, SOCIEDADE E IDENTIDADE CULTURAL: UM DIÁLOGO ENTRE “AS MÃOS DOS PRETOS”, DE LUIS BERNARDO HONWANA, “POR QUE O NEGRO É PRETO”, DE CÂMARA CASCUDO, E MACUNAÍMA, DE MÁRIO DE ANDRADE

Abstract

Literature, society and cultural identity are closely related fields of study, through which it is possible to settle an idea of nation. In this article we study the Mozambican Luis Bernardo Honwana tale “As mãos dos pretos” and confronted it with two Brazilian texts, “Por que o negro é preto”, folktale collected by Câmara Cascudo, and a chapter of Macunaíma by Mário de Andrade, in order to establish a profitable dialogue between them.
