Abstract

This chapter of the book Religion and Architecture in Premodern Indonesia: Studies in Spatial Anthropology presents a list of cited works. The book discusses spatial anthropology, indigenous religions, landtaking rites, sacred groves, and temporary ritual structures set up to receive a deity, the 'ethical' nature of spirits in Indonesia in the early 1990s. It reviews local mythic tradition, and overviews the influence of indigenous religions on the form and interpretation of certain features of vernacular architecture in Indonesia.
