Abstract

An Investigation has been carried out into the phenomenon of disintegration of aluminum alloy particles along their grain boundaries by a melt appearing during sintering in the splidus-liquidus temperature range, which is accompanied by the formation of metallic surfaces free from alumina. Recrystallization of the secondary grain particles through the liquid phase leads to the formation of structure in the sintered material and disruption of surface oxide films on its particles.
