Abstract
Abstract Polyethyleneglycol and its derivatives were found to be employed as new extracting reagents of trace amounts of Co(II) in liquid–liquid extraction. The extraction behavior of Co(II) with polyethyleneglycol alkylphenyl ether (Triton X-100) from thiocyanate solutions was studied, and the extracted chemical species was estimated to be (NH4)2Co(NCS)4(Triton X-100))2.
