Abstract

Total liquid holdup and axial dispersion coefficient measured for the hydrogen-hydrocarbon (n-hexane, cyclohexane, 1-pentanol) system at pressures higher than 1.5 MPa in a laboratory-scale trickle-bed reactor packed with nonporous glass beads are reported. The effects of liquid mass flow rate, viscosity and packing size on total liquid holdup and axial dispersion are also discussed
