Abstract

Ternary copolyethers [MBPE-5/7/9(A/B/C)] were synthesized, and their mesomorphic phase behavior was characterized by DSC and optical polarized microscopy. Three-dimensional representations of experimental data demonstrated that isomorphic-mesomorphic phase transition temperatures and enthalpy changes of all copolymers are situated on planar surfaces that represent the weight-averaged values of the corresponding thermal transitions and enthalpy changes of the MBPE-5, MBPE-7, and MBPE-9 homopolymers
