Abstract
A clinicostatistical analysis of 42 cases of intra-oral lipomas is presented with a review of the literature on lipomas and intra-oral lipomas. In this series the mean age of presentation was 51.6 years in males and 61.5 years in females; 76% of males presented before 60 years while 60% of females presented after 60 years of age. This large series has allowed a re-appraisal of current theories and statistical data.
