Abstract

Lipids extracted from dentine and enamel of rat incisors and molars before and after decalcification have been qualitatively and quantitatively analysed. The tissue was obtained from rats maintained on a diet deficient in essential fatty acids or on the same diet supplemented with corn oil. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses were the same as those obtained from teeth of rats maintained on a normal diet.
