Abstract
Treatment of Co2(CO)8 with HC⋮CCH2NH2 under mild reaction conditions yielded an unusual complex of {[Co2(CO)6(μ-HC⋮C-)]-CH2NH}2CO, 1. The structure of 1 was established by X-ray diffraction analysis. The compound 1 can be viewed as two propargylamine-bridged dicobalt complexes coupled by a carbonyl group. Obviously, carbonylation of a primary amine took place during this reaction.
