Abstract

Because of the outstanding advantage, the ultrawide bandwidth technology (UWB) is put forwards into appLication of the radio frequency identification (RFID) systems. In this paper, the general system structure of UWB-RFID and the backscatter modulation is presented. The Link budget of time-hopping pulse position modulation (TH-PPM) in AWGN channel is analyzed, which is based on the emission mark of FCC for the UWB signal. At last, the performance of Link budget in UWB-RFID system is presented in terms of transmission range and data rate.
