Abstract
This paper discusses the use of the primitive transpose function to enumerate the 76 diagonal lines passing through the cells of a 4×4×4 cube. Some simple properties of these lines are derived. The results are used for the construction of a simple algorithm for playing three-dimensional tic-tac-toe with a computer and its implementation in APL\360.
