Abstract
The linearity of the relationship between retention data and carbon number for homologous series of oxygn-containing organic compounds has been investigated for the series of Porapak porous polymers in gas chromatography. A marked deviation from linearity occurs with the lower members of normal alcohols, aldehydes, acetates and methyl ketones.
