Abstract

Radiation dose escalation in unresectable pancreatic cancers may improve local control and survival, however, the approach remains constrained by gastrointestinal toxicity. In this study, we investigate the potential use of double scattering (DS) proton therapy (PT), pencil beam scanning (PBS) PT, and IMRT in limiting biologically-effective dose to critical organs at risk (OAR).
