Abstract

The influence of the time delays in networked control systems(NCS) is briefly analyzed in this paper. A discrete time delay model is constructed. Then the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) and a scheme based on the LQR theory are introduced. In order to take into account the time delays, an augmented state variable, which includes the plant state variables and the input signal is defined. Then by controlling it through LQR theory, an augmented feedback control gain is obtained. The designed controller can successfully compensate the time delays.
