Abstract

This paper concerns the principles of operation of a linear magnetic sensor utilising off-diagonal impedance in Co-rich amorphous magnetic wire incorporated into CMOS transistor circuit. Short pulse current train produced by the circuit drives the wire. This excitation signal combining both high and low frequency harmonics produces a linear off-diagonal voltage response without additional bias current or field. This suits ideal for a practical linear sensor circuit design.
