Abstract

This paper studies the problem of Hinfin controller design for networked control systems (NCSs) with time delay and packet dropout. A linear estimation-based method is proposed to compensate time delay and packet dropout, a delay switching-based method is also proposed to model the variation of time delay, and Hinfin controller design is presented by using the delay switching-based method and the existing parameter uncertainty-based method. The newly proposed delay switching-based method is proved to be less conservative than the existing parameter uncertainty-based method. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the linear estimation-based time delay and packet dropout compensation.
