Abstract
A linear correlation between entropies of complexation of cryptand 222 with alkali-metal and silver cations in non-aqueous solvents and entropies of solvation of these ions in these solvents is shown. This correlation can be used for the evaluation of entropies for the transfer of alkali-metal and silver cations from water to non-aqueous solvents from data for entropies of complexation of alkali-metal and silver cryptates in the appropriate solvents or vice versa.
