Abstract
A linear coherent optical technique for restoration of images altered by a multiplicative periodic degradation is considered. By proper choice of a multiplicative grating, restoration can be performed using conventional linear coherent optics techniques. Specific attention is given to the case of continuous sampling in which the image is periodically set to zero in strips.
