Abstract
We have shown that the optical sign of the uniaxial langasite crystal Ca3TaAl3Si2O14 is positive. We also measured the phase-matching conditions of second-harmonic generation and sum-frequency generation up to 3.5 µm. Simultaneous fitting of these experimental data allowed us to report the Sellmeier equations of the ordinary and extraordinary principal refractive indices, and the magnitude of the nonlinear coefficient.
