Abstract

This paper concerns design of control algorithm for web tension regulation in an industrial accumulator. Due to the repeatedly switching working conditions and varying web length, the system dynamics change considerably during the change of unwind cores. Based on linear active disturbance rejection control (LADRC) method, an improved LADRC controller with the known information of model is designed to get better performance. Simulation are presented and discussed for the improved LADRC controller, demonstrating a satisfactory tension control performance permitting the faster processing speed compared with the classic LADRC controller and the PID controller.
