Abstract

This paper describes the line side behavior of single-phase uncontrolled rectifiers with AC-side reactances and capacitive load depending on the short-circuit ratio at the valve side of the rectifier. The influence of both finite DC link capacitance and AC ohmic resistance are considered in the analysis too. As a result of the study, a set of graphics was generated. It allows someone to estimate in a friendly way the line current consumed by the device (fundamental and harmonic currents).
