The present document –the blood cleansing that was made to him in 1572, when he became a doctor to the Inquisition in New Spain– is a significant contribution in this regard; attached to the document is an inventory of texts, drawn in 1562, that show the humanistic and classical influences prevailing in the medical environment of the time are evident.
