Abstract
Plant provides a major resource for a large number of traditional medicines that have been in existence for thousands of years in existence for thousands of year in a country like India. Ayurveda one of the oldest medicinal systems in the world provides leads for a vast number of therapeutically useful components. The combination of traditional and Morden knowledge can produce better source of the active constituent for treatment of disease with fewer side effects.
