Abstract

We have simulated Eden growth for a range of cluster sizes N, and noise reduction parameters m, in d=2 and d=3 dimensions. As m varies from one to infinity, for large but finite N, the cluster morphology varies continuously from a circle to a diamond in d=2 and from a sphere to a bi-pyramid in d=3. Our results clearly demonstrate, at least for the cluster morphology, that the large m limit does not properly describe the asymptotics of the regular ( m=1) Eden model.
