Abstract

This paper summarizes the problem of radiation damage as it affects our ability to perform high-spatial-resolution analysis using electron beams. A half dozen methods are briefly reviewed which under certain circumstances have been shown to either reduce the sample radiation sensitivity or increase the efficiency at which we collect information.
