Abstract

The problem of the limiting rotational frequency of radial turbine disks is solved by the kinetic method on the assumption that in the limiting state an annular plastic hinge forms. It is shown that for the specified radius of the hinge the problem reduces to the solution of two equations of equilibrium. Calculations of a large number of radial disks revealed in many cases considerable reserves of load bearing capacity which remain unused with the normalized calculation without bending taken into account. The article analyzes the possibility of the corresponding recalculation of the normalized permissible safety factor for strength according to limiting equilibrium.
