Abstract

A limiting law theory for the interpretation of light scattering photon correlation measurements in a dispersion of charged spherical particles is developed through the use of a cluster expansion technique. The methods used allow one to include the effects of the counter-ions in a more fundamental way than has been previously done; it is found that these do not contribute in any significant way to the limiting law results. For values of the scattering vector usually considered, only autocorrelation effects are important.
