Abstract

In Ge(Li)-spectrometry the pulser method has found wide application for the correction of dead-time and pile-up losses. The usefulness of this method is limited, however, due to the different shapes of the full energy peaks and the pulser peak. Errors of the order of a few percent may arise if improper peak evaluation methods are used.
