Abstract
EDITOR—I was interested to read about the survey conducted by the GMC (General Medical Council) on career prospects for overseas doctors in the United Kingdom.1 The GMC surveyed a sample of recently passed PLAB (Professional and Linguistic Assessment Board) candidates and concluded that more than 75% of these doctors got a job within eight months of their arrival.
