Abstract

The possibility of limiting laser intensity using lightinduced critical scattering under optothermodynamic transfer of stratifying triethylamine — water and 2-butoxyethanol — water solutionsto the unstable equilibrium state has been investigated. A decrease in the intensity of neodymium laser radiation (λ = 1.06 μm) by a factor of ∼10 has been obtained for the triethylamine — water solution. The time dependences of the intensities of the incident light and the radiation transmitted through solution layers are compared.
