Abstract

Abstract From the roots of Krameria parvifolia , the new neolignans (2 R ,3 R ,2′ R )-2,3-dihydro-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-5-(2′-hydroxypropyl)-3-methylbenzofuran and 2-(4,6-dihydroxy-2-methoxyphenyl)-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)benzofuran were isolated. In addition, conocarpan, eupomatenoid 6, hermosillol, ratanhiaphenol I, ratanhiaphenol III, zapotecol, caffeoylcycloartenol and a further 10 known compounds, all belonging to the lignans, neolignans and norneolignans, respectively, were characterized.
