Abstract

Nowadays, the security of communication between cloud server and Internet of things (IoT) devices helps in the development, improve standards of application, and related software tools to smoothen the security of connected IoT devices and the cloud environments. Data is very sensitive, whether this data belong to entity’s privacy or it can be any private business information. It is profitable chance for the attackers as data is easily commoditized in our society. Connecting insecure IoT devices like smart devices, botnets, smart routers, etc., to cloud server is causing problems in communication between IoT devices and cloud server. In the mob of conceivable platforms and security algorithms, selecting the most suitable to implement a specific service is quite a difficult task, particularly from a security perspective. This paper focuses on light-weight key establishment mechanism for secure communication between IoT device and cloud server. The proposed algorithm provides vital security attributes, also prevention of popular attacks like denial of service (DoS), resist replay attack, known key attack.
