Abstract
Many thunderstorm observers have been used in Great Britain for obtaining data on the occurrence of storms. Some experimental data are given and theoretical considerations made to show that the relationships between the recorded number of thunderstorm days, the actual number of thunderstorm days and lightning incidence are likely to be complex.
