Abstract
The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 and the downing of flight MH17 presented unique challenges for all involved, including the various agencies involved in the investigations, lawyers, family members and relevant Governments. This article provides an overview of the tragedies of MH370 and MH17 and aims to provide a flavour of the more significant practical and legal challenges involved in assisting the airline in dealing with both losses.
