Abstract

The physical environment in which transmission grid resides has a major effect on the resulting reliability of the network. The inclusion of lightning conditions in reliability analyses of transmission grid is discussed. This paper illustrates the approach to establish reliability assessment model for transmission line and substation equipment according to lightning disaster level and line segments simulation. Reliability index weight set of each transmission grid component is proposed based on the complex network theory. The comprehensive assessment model is verified to be scientific and reasonable which is tested in high-voltage transmission grid. The influence of the weight coefficient to improve the transmission grid reliability in lightning disaster is analyzed comparatively with sensitivity.
