Abstract

The use of modern automation for lighting control is especially important, so it helps to create optimal conditions for the vision of workers. To control the level of illumination, various methods are used - PWM control, digital protocol DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface), frequency and duty cycle of the signal period have a high significance in this case. In order to justify the optimal method of controlling lighting, an analysis of the existing control options for artificial and natural lighting was made in this study. In the course of this analysis, calculations were made to determine the dependence of the parameters under PWM control, to evaluate this method, but still, for further development, the digital control protocol DALI was chosen, as the most convenient for solving the control problem. The developed system, controlling lighting by means of PLC, unlike the widespread, uses an additional device - a DALI gateway, that allows you to control the LED lamp by converting the Modbus protocol used by the PLC to the DALI protocol. A detailed structural and functional scheme of an automated lighting control system adapted for workplaces with specific requirements was developed. Distinctive features of the system is the presence of an additional sensor of illumination of the screen surface (when lighting workplaces with displays) and the possibility of limiting excess natural lighting.
