Abstract

Abstract Light trap catches of caddisflies from the River Danube at Veroce in Hungary in 1980 are analysed. They are compared with catches from Linz on the Danube and from sites on the Rhine. It is suggested that light trap catches of caddisflies are a useful indicator of water quality in large rivers.
