Abstract
The simplified spherical harmonics (SPn) approximation is implemented into the NIRFAST package. Preliminary studies are presented on a small 10mm×10mm geometry and qualitative results are shown for SP1, SP3 and SP5. Further work is underway to quantitatively test the accuracy of the SPN models using Monte Carlo data as a benchmark.
