Abstract
Several simple ethers and thioethers are examined in solid neon matrix by FTIR and Raman spectroscopy. In each compound several rotational isomers are observed and their infrared induced and ‘‘dark’’ interconversions occurring in the matrix investigated. New information is obtained about the spectra and torsional potentials of the compounds studied.
