Abstract
Three intensity levels of light increment and decrement treatment conditions with appropriate yoked controls were used to investigate the functional relationship between stimulus change and its reinforcing properties for 240 domestic chicks. The general results substantiated light increment as an effective sensory reinforcer; however light decrement had no demonstrable reinforcing properties.
