Abstract

AbstractInspired by photosynthesis, we have developed a system, which photochemically splits water to produce oxygen and protons and stores the released electron first in the metal oxide cluster followed by transfer to a Cu(II) centre to generate Cu(I) in situ in the reaction. Later the generated Cu(I) acts as an active catalyst for click reaction with a yield of up to 93% and for multi component coupling reaction to synthesize propargylamide with a yield of up to 87%.
