Abstract
Light-induced bending polymer film can bend and return to flat under the light irradiation, and transform light energy into mechanical energy directly. A Light-driven wheel-type mobile robot is designed and manufactured based on this film. The experiment of the robot proves that this device can be driven by light energy. Driving mechanism of this film is revealed when driving moment is analyzed with energy method. Key words: Light-induced bending polymer film, light-driven mobile robot, driving moment, energy method.
