Abstract

Abstract Light provides practical and versatile tools for structure formation and its tuning of soft materials. This article briefly overviews recent developments of photoalignment and phototuning of nanostructured materials focusing onto the 2D material systems. Two topics are involved; i) phototuning and alignment of microphase-separated nanostructures in block copolymers containing a photoisomerizable unit and ii) photoalignment of organic/silica nanohybrids prepared on a polymer film with photocrosslinkable unit.
