Abstract

A new harmonic superspace is proposed in which 2( D − 2) additional bosonic harmonic coordinates allow to reduce the Lorentz symmetry group SO(1, D − 1) to its subgroup SO(1, 1)×SO( D − 2) (the invariance group of the light-cone frame). In it there is an invariant analytic subspace involving only x +, x i , θ + and the new variables. The superparticle action is reformulated in this analytic subspace so that no local fermionic invariance is needed and the Lorentz symmetry is preserved. An interpretation of the ten-dimensional super Yang-Mills on-shell constraints as integrability conditions for the existence of light-cone analytic harmonic superfields is given.
