Light and colour are very important in every day life. Different lighting arrangements can make the difference between a stressfull and stress free working environment, with glare from vdu screens being a particularly common source of complaint and reduced productivity. Similarly a dark street can make us frightened while a well lit community enjoys a noticeably reduced incidence of crime.
