Abstract

Back Cover: Chlorophyll derivatives can be extracted from plants, algae, and autotrophic microorganisms, and are gaining a lot of interest in nanotechnology. In fact, opportunely irradiated with light, they offer a multitude of photo-activated strategies for biomedical applications such as vision enhancement, optogenetics, antimicrobial and antitumor activities, and even generation of reactive oxygen species. This is reported by Carlotta Pucci, Chiara Martinelli, Andrea Degl'Innocenti, Andrea Desii, Daniele De Pasquale, and Gianni Ciofani in article number 2100181.
