Abstract

Time-resolved laser-induced fluorescence is used to monitor the population in excited rovibronic levels of the à 1A u state of C 2H 2 in v′ 3 = 0 to 4. Double-exponential fluorescence decays are observed in all excitation lines. From the pressure-dependent decay rates, zero-pressure lifetimes and self-quenching rates are derived.
