Abstract
We employ a theoretical model to assess the importance of Ridley’s channel in limiting the lifeitime of nonequilibrium zone-center LO phonons in zinc-blende materials. For comparison, we also present results for the decay through Klemens’s channel as well as via Vallée–Bogani’s intraband combination channel.
